These Terms of Service govern your use of Nihongo Pathway and its services. By accessing and using our website, participating in our Japanese language immersion programs, and engaging with our cultural learning resources, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of any changes we make.

Acceptance of Terms

Your access to and use of our services is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms of Service. By registering an account or using any features of our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these terms and all applicable laws and regulations. We provide our language immersion programs and cultural learning resources in Canada and to international participants. If you are under eighteen years of age, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent before using our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms.

User Obligations

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the services. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our learning community, and attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We recommend that you change your password regularly and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content, materials, and resources provided through our platform, including but not limited to course materials, videos, audio files, lesson plans, cultural guides, and interactive learning tools, are the exclusive property of our organization or our content providers. These materials are protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use these materials solely for your personal educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from any of our content without our explicit written permission. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected. To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services. This includes damages for lost profits, loss of data, loss of use, or any other damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms of Service, unauthorized use of our intellectual property, engaging in disruptive behavior within our learning community, or non-payment of fees if applicable. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your data upon account termination. You may request deletion of your personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws by contacting our support team. We will comply with all legal requirements regarding data retention and deletion.
